El Gran Amigo is the shack on the side of the road with the good Mexican food and the only place to get a burrito north of Half Moon Bay. Regulars from around the Coastside swear by El Gran Amigo and eat there at least once a week. If you are cruising down Hwy 1 enjoying the surf side views and have a hankering for some cheap, authentic Mexican, pull into this roadside pit-stop and fuel up. Awesome place to grind after surfing at Montara. You can even bring your dog so long as you snag the lone outdoor table.
